And while it was reported that the upcoming console would release in 2019, we weren't exactly sure when that might be - until now.

The console's packaging looks quite standard. Apparently, Microsoft is gearing up for an Inside Xbox reveal at some point in April. It doesn't sound like there will be a long period of time before reveal and launch either, as a new report today claims the new console will release in early May. Windows Central previously revealed that the console would be named "Xbox One S All-Digital Edition," and the reputable blog is reporting today that the console could be announced in April with a possible May 7 launch. Considering this will already be the most affordable Xbox One ever, Microsoft is making a serious play for newcomers and those on a tight budget.

Unfortunately, this report doesn't give us any insight into pricing, though $199 does seem to be the sweet spot when you consider that the Xbox One S is normally priced at $299. Images also suggest the system will ship with a 1TB hard drive and digital download codes for three games: Minecraft, Forza Horizon 3 and Sea of Thieves.

According to Windows Central, the image you see at the top of this story is an accurate representation of the product shot that the site received recreated in Photoshop to protect the source. It doesn't look as though it will be bundled with Microsoft's Netflix-like subscription service for games, Xbox Game Pass. The no-disc variant looks virtually identical to the Xbox One S, save for the lack of a disc drive in the center.

Finally, the documents the site obtained suggest that the Xbox One S All-Digital will arrive on May 7th, 2019.
