According to Windows Central, the Xbox One S sans disc drive will be packaged with Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, and Forza Horizon 3. Today, we're getting a glimpse at what its box art could look like, along with a rumored launch date for the console. Now, thanks to a new report, a more specific date for the new console's release has now been unveiled.

Late previous year, we heard rumours that Microsoft was planning to launch a cheaper "all digital" version of the Xbox One S without a disk drive. The new details follow reports from earlier in March that revealed what's said to be the official name of the console and said the device would be out some time in May after a reveal in April. That'll be a global launch too, with the disc-less Xbox One S launching in all existing Xbox markets on the same day.

The design of the Xbox One S All-Digital appears to be virtually identical to the current Xbox One S, without the disc drive and eject button.

Finally, the documents the site obtained suggest that the Xbox One S All-Digital will arrive on May 7th, 2019.

Why it matters: Microsoft is reportedly adding even more value to its disc-less Xbox One S by bundling download codes for three hit games.

The promotional images acquired show not only the console itself, but also the box it will be sold in.

A faithful recreation of the box art is also available on WindowsCentral's page, which gives a better idea of what this digital console will look like.
