Tiger Roll's victory yesterday stopped what had been a pretty miserable Festival for Elliott, who had seen four favourites beaten in the first two days.

Altior has risen to his toughest challenge yet to extend his unbeaten record over jumps to 18 in the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

"He had to have a little fight - but he made it exciting for everybody - including myself", said jubilant Henderson. It was a cracking good race for everybody; for me, it was hell.

Prior to Altior's victory, de Boinville had already picked up a win on the card as a late surge from William Henry saw the 28/1 shot reel in the unlucky Wicklow Brave, who under a monster weight was just nailed in the shadow of the post in the Coral Cup. "He's a phenomenal athlete - he doesn't know how to lose".

Following Altior's success, Tiger Roll (5-4) followed suit in even more impressive fashion - romping clear by a huge margin to win the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase under Keith Donoghue for the second year running.

And the Leader completed a "Bookie Bashing" when the Gordon Elliott trained Leader selection Envoi Allen (2-1) won the Weatherbys Champion Bumper race.

The RSA Chase Leader selection Delta Work run third, with noted Santini second behind victor and noted runner Top Of The Game.
