The 49ers have added a wideout to their receiving corps.

Another former member of the Philadelphia Eagles is moving on to different pastures, as Jordan Matthews will attempt to find a role in Kyle Shanahan's offense in San Francisco. The team later announced that 26-year-old Matthews is being signed to a one-year deal.

Matthews caught 20 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns with the Eagles last season.

Matthews, a former second-round pick out of Vanderbilt, averaged 75 catches, 891 yards and 6 touchdowns during his first three years in Philadelphia, becoming one of just five players in National Football League history to record 65-plus receptions and 800-plus receiving yards in each of his first three seasons.

Matthews has caught 270 passes for 3,255 yards with 22 touchdowns through his five National Football League seasons. He caught 225 balls for 2,673 yards in three seasons with the Eagles before being traded to the Buffalo Bills in 2017.
