Affleck got in on the fun as Shutterfly pledged to donate $20,000 to his Eastern Congo Initiative, which the actor established in 2010 along with Whitney Williams to help the people of eastern Congo.

"I had a game last week and I was promoting the movie, and I was going to Asia, and I was like, 'I have to come back a day early, '" Affleck said, adding that Netflix let him leave the press tour early to coach the game. "I'm in such a good place".

And DeGeneres made sure she got some jabs in during his rap with her executive producer Andy Lassner.

It's one of my favorite pieces of celebrity trivia: Ben Affleck, a two-time Oscar victor, has a giant tattoo of a phoenix on his back.

The reaction to the phoenix tattoo was "not so much positive", Affleck said (except from Fall Out Boy fans). "I like it. It's something that I sort of kept private, I wasn't doing photoshoots or whatever". "Rising from your ass", interjected DeGeneres.

Next up, DeGeneres pulled up a pic of Affleck's infamous back tattoo that was snapped by paparazzi previous year while the actor was at the beach. "And I was about to say it represents something really important to me, but you know what?" "And yeah, the sentiment ran, you know, against, which I think- I love my tattoo". "It's meaningful to me". I'm very happy with it.

Triple Frontier is available to stream on Netflix now.
