Rumoured Manchester United target Jadon Sancho will remain a Borussia Dortmund player next season, according to the German club's sporting director Michael Zorc.

Former Manchester City academy graduate Sancho, 18, has made a stunning breakthrough in German football and the England global is now valued at around £100million.

United could face competition from Paris Saint-Germain for Sancho, who has scored nine goals and contributed 15 assists in the Bundesliga, Champions League and German Cup this season.

He has been heavily linked with a return to England and Manchester United are reported to have identified him as their top target for the summer transfer window.

"I'm far from putting a price tag on Jadon, but I would say that, even for the biggest club in the world, it would be hard to get his transfer through right now", he told Sport Bild.

The 18-year-old has attracted interest from many of Europe's biggest clubs, with Manchester United said to be preparing a jaw-dropping offer for Sancho at the end of the season.

"We are definitely planning with him".

However, while Zorc is insistent Sancho will not be leaving, he also dropped a huge hint that Dortmund will be open to a deal at some point.

Gotze has established himself as an important member of Lucien Favre's squad, having battled back to full fitness following a metabolic issue.

"His development this season has been really good".
