Ariana Grande has become the first artist since The Beatles to hold the top three places on the Billboard Hot 100.

The feat of 11 songs in the Top 40 - which surpasses the prior record-holder Cardi B - is the most held by a female artist at one time, the outlet said.

Billboard reported Tuesday that three songs from Grande's latest album "Thank U, Next" are sitting atop the chart.

Fans had actually tried boycotting 7 Rings to get Break Up With Your Boyfriend, I'm Bored to number one instead and Ariana co-signed the unconventional movement, saying there was "nothing funnier". Sitting in the third spot is "Thank U, Next", which moved up four spots.

But Thank U, Next is the 25-year-olds's biggest opening week for an album to date at 65,000 combined sales, including 59 million streams across its 12 tracks.

The current popularity of the United States pop star has resulted in her becoming the first artist in nearly 55-years to hold the top three spots on the Billboard Hot 100 single chart.

Several songs allude to a tumultuous past year that saw Grande break up with rapper Mac Miller - who died at age 26 in September - and end a brief but heavily publicized engagement with comedian Pete Davidson.
