Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are now riding high on the success of their latest release Gully Boy.

The film garnered Rs 19.40 crore on its opening day and has received good reviews from critics as well as the audience.

If latest reports are anything to go by, the Zoya Akhtar-directed film Gully Boy is being considered for a remake down South.

According to trade analysts, the musical drama will cross Rs 75 crore on 18 February, a Monday. However, the collection saw a dip on Friday and Gully Boy collected Rs 12.75 crore. The film crossed the Rs 50 crore mark on the third day of its release and its current earnings stand at Rs 72.45 crore.

Thanks to the positive reviews and the wonderful word of mouth, the movie showed excellent growth on Saturday and Sunday and collected Rs 18.50 crore and Rs 20.75 crore respectively.

Gully Boy is expected to earn more than the lifetime collections of Zoya's films Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (Rs 90.27 crore) and Dil Dhadakne Do (Rs 76.88 crore) in just a week and that's quite an achievement for the makers.

It has been learnt that producer and distributor Allu Arvind is keen on remaking Gully Boy in Telugu.
