The Sony Xperia XA3 series might have skipped CES last month but the smartphones will nearly certainly appear at MWC 2019 later this month.

Sony has been guilty of playing it "safe" with its smartphones, as the OEM ended up re-using designs over several generations, without making any major changes.

Among the smartphones that will be presented in Barcelona during the Mobile World Congress 2019 there are also the Sony Xperia X10 and Xperia X10 Plus. The Sony Xperia 10 is said to be featuring a 5.9-inch display, and the 10 Plus is supposed to have a bigger 6.5-inch screen. As you can see in the renders above, both the Xperia 10 and 10 Plus have nearly no bottom chin, but there is a huge top bezel.

The processor powering the Xperia 10 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 which is an octa-core chip clocked at 1.8GHz. On the storage, a 3GB and 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of onboard storage are said to featuring in the Xperia 10 and 10 Plus respectively.

Apart from the name change scheme, the report from Winfuture also suggests that the Sony Xperia 10 and 10 Plus would be sharing identical design elements apart from the display sizes.

Coming to the cameras, the Sony Xperia 10 has a primary 13MP camera on the back paired with a secondary 5MP depth sensor.

As per usual, the Xperia XA3 Ultra's upper bezel houses the in-ear speaker, proximity sensor, and the unspecified front-facing selfie camera.

The Xperia 10 has a 2,870mAh battery, and the battery size of Xperia 10 Plus is unknown at the moment.

However, the renders reveal the device will have a headphone jack on the top of the phone, which could contribute to the larger forehead.

As for the pricing, the Xperia 10 is expected to cost around 349 euros (around Rs 28,000) and the 10 Plus about 429 euros (approx Rs 35,000). Let's see if the company brings these phones to other markets outside Europe or not. Expect to learn much more soon with MWC 2019 starting 25 February where it is anticipated that Sony will officially take the wraps off all three models.
