But don't be fooled by the name. The device, however, not to be confused with the latest edition of Nokia 8.1, here, HMD is releasing the 8.1 that came out past year in the month of December. What we're actually looking at here is a new mid-range offering from the veteran phone manufacturer.

The 8.1 doesn't get near the Sirocco's specs, despite the name. And this makes sense considering the difference in price points.

Its 6.18-inch FHD+ LCD display features the HDR PureDisplay tech found in the previous Nokia 7.1.

Inside the Nokia 8.1 is a Snapdragon 710 processor and a battery that promises two day battery life from a single charge.

It will be available in Blue/Silver and Steel/Copper from both JB Hi-Fi and Officeworks for $699 on the 21st of February.
