The Blaugrana have been linked with a host of names to replace the ageing forward, but German publication Frankfurter Allgemeine suggest Eintracht Frankfurt's Luka Jovic is the player they want.

Barcelona are searching for a new striker, with Luis Suarez getting older and with backups Paco Alcacer and Munir El Haddadi having left in the past year.

Currently, on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt from Benfica, the Serbian attacker has shown tremendous promise and versatility, featuring across the front three and in an attacking midfield role.

Bild reports that Jovic, who has been in stellar form this season for Frankfurt, has been a subject of a concrete 45 million euro transfer bid from Real Madrid.

Despite the reported pre-contract agreement, Barca still have to negotiate a transfer fee with Benfica - who have yet to receive an official offer.

Jovic has impressed all season, scoring 14 goals in the Bundesliga and a further five in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.
