Liu will play a character named Simone, who is described as "elegant, stylish, effervescent", and moves through life as if starring in a movie about herself. CBS hasn't released a lot of details about the show yet, but the ominous title comes with an ominous synopsis: the network says it will "examine how the role of women has changed through the decades, but their reaction to betrayal. has not".

Liu will star as Simone. She thrives on parties and shopping, and her appearance seems to be the height of importance for her.

Liu has co-starred for six seasons on CBS' highly praised drama series Elementary as Dr. Joan Watson, alongside Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock Holmes. Though she seems to have it all, even a fabulous husband, her flawless little bubble is burst when she discovers that husband is, in fact, cheating on her.

Liu has also become active as a director in recent years, helming multiple episodes of "Elementary" as well as "Luke Cage" and "Graceland". On the feature side, Liu recently starred in the Netflix film "Set It Up".

She is repped by ICM, Framework Entertainment, Untitled Entertainment, and Schreck Rose.

Cherry will serve as executive producer alongside Imagine's Brian Grazer (Empire, Genius) and Francie Calfo (Empire, Genius), and Acme Productions' Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis.
