Toyota Supra gets more swagger with TRD Concept

All these things are claimed to improve aerodynamics, while lighter-weight 19in alloy wheels "tell quality to the road surface without excessive vehicle performance", in Toyota's Google Translated Japanese words.

Toyota's TRD performance division has pulled the covers off the GR Supra Performance Line Concept, created to give prospective buyers a taste of how their cars could be accessorised in future. More so, these parts are all built out of lightweight but strong carbon fiber.

What stands out in the entire picture is the big wheels ready for adventures or even sand dunes as they help in increasing the ground clearance of the Supra and the wheel arches are even more huge. The Supra off-roader gets aluminium skid plate up front and we can presume that it will also be there at the rear.

The add-on parts include a front spoiler with canards, created to smooth out the airflow around the front end, along with extended side skirts, unique trim on the doors, and an extended rear spoiler. Despite it being a door garnish, TRD says it helps direct airflow pass over the fenders and onto the wheels instead. At the rear there is a rear bumper trim together with a rear spoiler lip, both in carbon fibre.

At the moment, TRD doesn't seem to be offering the GR Supra with suspension, chassis or brake upgrades. However, the bottom of the TRD website did say "To be continued". So does this mean we will see more parts for the Supra in the future?
