The Division 2 Open Beta Outed During Recent Live Stream

During today's The Division 2 livestream (spotted by TiniestBuckle) by Ubisoft, the developers casually mentioned how they'll fix some of the issues plaguing the private beta in the open beta, which is apparently a thing! Of course, an Open Beta is a logical follow-up for The Division 2, with just over amonth until the full game launches.

The Division 2's developers and community team jumped into the private beta and streamed this weekend while chatting with the community and answering questions.

The numbers look even worse compared to other big games, especially those competing in the same loot shooter space like Anthem. The whole objective of the beta is to uncover bugs and other potential issues with the game that can be fixed before its full release. While there were some problems with the game client crashing as well as invites, Ubisoft was quick to address these issues and offer workarounds. You could only get in if you received a code from either pre-ordering the game or specifically signing up, so not everyone was able to join in. At least that is the thinking is, given comments made during an official live stream.
