The sixth Terminator film, set to release at the end of 2019, is officially titled Terminator: Dark Fate.

Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049, Halt and Catch Fire) leads the new movie, with Arnold Schwarzenegger (sporting a beard!) and Linda Hamilton returning as their iconic characters. Cameron, who is producing the film, says they're now calling it Terminator: Dark Fate.

"That's our working title right now", he explained. It's hardened her even more, but in a way that made her much stronger.

Though he's busy on Pandora with his multiple Avatar sequels, James Cameron has found time to consult on and hand off other projects to directors, including the freshly-arrived Alita: Battle Angel and the next Terminator film, which has Deadpool's Tim Miller handling the action.

Cameron also detailed how his one major condition for the film was that Arnold Schwarzenegger return as the T-1000. And ultimately, she becomes a really important character in passing the baton to the new characters that come in.

"Tim's a very willful and opinionated director, and he's got his own ideas for the film".

Terminator 6 will introduce newcomers Mackenzie Davis and Natalie Reyes, as well as Gabriel Luna (Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) who plays a brand new Terminator in the film.

Terminator: Dark Fate is due out in theaters October 31.

"We're developing a new Terminator film". Billy Ray (The Hunger Games) wrote the most recent draft of the script, which was conceived by Cameron, Miller and Ellison.

There have been a lot of hits and misses in the Terminator franchise over the years, but we can't help but get excited for the next installment.
