SNL only wants to talk about Jeff Bezos in its cold open

A mock "Meet the Press" on "Saturday Night Live" zeroed in on the latest "new low in journalism" - Amazon CEO Jeff's Bezos' dick pic that almost appeared in The National Enquirer - and loved every salacious minute of it.

The sketch revolved around the salacious photos at the center of the extortion claims Washington Post owner Jeffrey P. Bezos made against the National Enquirer this week in a stunning Medium post. On SNL's "Meet the Press", Whitaker's interview about his recent congressional hearing was usurped by the Bezos news. Of course, Todd asks his panelists Eugene Robinson, Peggy Noonan, and Donna Brazil (portrayed by Kenan Thompson, Cecily Strong and Leslie Jones) the most salient question: "You're all highly respected journalists, so when all is said and done, what do you think Jeff Bezos' penis is gonna look like?"

"Excuse me?" Brazile asked in disbelief.

"When I hear 'billionaire's penis, ' I immediately think 'small potatoes, ' you know".

"As a journalist, this is not something I ever thought I'd have to cover, but as a human, I'm curious", Thompson's Robinson said. "Like they say, if it's small and looks amusing, you better have the money, honey", SNL's Noonan said at one point.

The sketch also had some fun with the real-life NY newspaper headlines about this story, pointing out the missed opportunity in not saying "Your Amazon package is on its way", for example, instead.

"I'm going to jump in", Noonan said.

The segment also took on Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker.
