Susan Lucci takes a tumble on American Heart Association runway

The 72-year-old soap opera star took a tumble on Thursday while walking the runway at the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women Red Dress Collection event in NY. However, the 72-year-old actress didn't make it all the way.

Susan Lucci took a tumble!

"@Susan_Lucci shows tremendous grace after falling on the runway during the #americanheartassociation #RedDressCollection show". She got back up, blew a kiss and waved to the crowd before walking off the stage. A picture of class, the Emmy victor blew a kiss to the audience, who gave her a standing ovation as she exited.

She added that the actress, 'Gets up to a standing ovation'.

ET caught up with Lucci prior to the fashion show, and she gushed about getting to wear such a stunning gown and her pre-fall excitement about taking on the runway.

In another post she shared, "This week, I will walk in the American Heart Association, Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection in honor of all women who have lost their lives, those who are now battling heart disease and all the fearless survivors".

Lucci said that she was "shocked" to learn about the 90% blockage, adding she's lucky to be alive, which her cardiologist, Holly Andersen, Associate Professor of Medicine at the Ronald O. Perelman Heart Institute at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical Center, agrees with. Her impressive walk was momentarily derailed when she stepped on her dress, causing her to fall down.
