Huawei P30 launching in March

Our favourite case maker, Spigen, has done it again.

The Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro are both likely to land soon, but exactly when has been unclear so far, with no real release date rumors. The case renders suggest the Huawei P30 Pro will have four rear camera lenses, even more than the three lenses featured on the P20 Pro and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro launched late past year.

It could be possible that Huawei will include the headphone jack on the P30 but not on the P30 Pro, which is what it did with the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. The leaked renders showcase the vertically aligned triple camera setup on the back of the P30 and a quad camera setup on the back of P30 Pro along with the water-drop styled notch on the front.

Like most flagship these days, the P30 Pro does not come with a headphone jack and we also noticed that there's a separate speaker grill at the bottom. This should provide a better loudspeaker performance compared to the Mate 20 Pro's hidden speaker located inside the USB-C port.

As reported by Android Authority, phone case maker Spigen published photos of the Huawei P30 Pro sporting a clear plastic case. No traditional fingerprint sensors are to be seen in any of the leaked images, implying that they may be of the in-display variety, which comes as little surprise. A photo of a case for the unreleased Huawei P30 Pro shows the phone with four rear cameras.

The Huawei P30 series is expected to be announced sometime next month at a separate event after MWC 2019. This time the P30 phones both display March 28 - we have seen leaks suggesting the phone will be released in Paris towards the end of March so this fits nicely. Could this be the official launch date? In around six weeks we will find out all.
