Anthem is a new shared-world action-RPG from EA's BioWare studio where players can team up with friends as Freelancers - the bold few with the courage to leave civilization behind and explore a landscape of primeval beauty, confront the dangers you find and grow in power with every step. Part two shows off the endgame content for Anthem that will hopefully keep players coming back for more and more. He described them as "content that you engage with for weeks", which would come out less frequently than new challenges, events, and strongholds. Different factions will offer contracts: sometimes unpredictable missions with unique problems. Legendary contracts are larger, multi-part missions with bigger rewards.

Once you have a blueprint, you'll need crafting materials and coin to create gear you've your eye on.

However, the Strongholds and all the other challenges aren't fixed difficulties. These longer missions will have you fighting some of the deadliest enemies in the world, and plenty of them, as you delve deep into unknown territory. The tougher the fight, the better chance of good loot.

All mission types can be accessed through the game's free-roaming mode, called Freeplay. After venturing out into the world, you can take a targeted approach and head straight for various missions and Strongholds marked on the map.

EA said that new missions, characters, and stories will be introduced over "the weeks and months to come", some of them small and others world-changing: The "most ambitious and challenging" new content will come in the form of Cataclysms, "time-limited world events that cause physical manifestations to occur: Extreme weather, incursions of unsafe hostile enemies, and new mysteries to solve". It's rather vague, but you can see these in the images embedded above.
