On Sunday, Marvel Studios posted the new Captain Marvel clip on its YouTube account, and fans witnessed a sneak peek of the upcoming flick, which tells the story of Danvers, one of the greatest female superheroes who aims to save Earth from intergalactic warfare.

Mississipi Grind helmers Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are directing from a script written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve. "But not us", Rogers says. Danvers responds with the words that have become the movie's tagline: "Higher, further, faster, baby".

Saved by the Kree many years ago, Carol Danvers can not remember her life as a human on Earth. Warning: old ladies will get punched in the face. This is the first real look we've had at a character with a potential link to a future MCU hero in Monica Rambeau, so it's nice to see that she's not simply an afterthought. The film stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Rune Temte, Algenis Perez Soto, Mckenna Grace, with Annette Bening, with Clark Gregg, and Jude Law. In particular, Law is nearly certainly playing Mar-Vell, leader of the Kree's most elite fighters, the Starforce.

Captain Marvel opens in theaters on March 8, 2019.
