My Sprint Rewards launches to give customers free pizza and other perks

T-Mobile launched an nearly identical program nearly three years ago called T-Mobile Tuesdays, which refreshes deals each week from a similar lineup of retailers.

Sprint launched My Sprint Rewards, an app-based rewards programme that provides perks on products and services. The most-liked review on Boost Perks' Google Play Store page offers a chilling account of what can happen if you place too much hope in getting free pizza. My Sprint Rewards brings exclusive deals from Sprint and a large variety of well-known brands in apparel, auto, beauty, electronics, health, home, sports, travel and more. Sprint also noted that it is kickstarting things today by offering up a large one-topping pizza from Papa Johns - mentioning in the fine-print that this is "while supplies last", so that it doesn't suffer the same fate that Domino's did when T-Mobile Tuesdays launched.

Other rewards available right now include 39-percent off AMC movie tickets, $20 off a Sam's Club membership, and more.

You, the Sprint subscriber, download an app on Android or iOS and sign-in with your Sprint number. These will be changing throughout the coming weeks and months as new promotions are added to the app. Both programs are available to customers at no additional cost, but the carriers find themselves in very different circumstances.

To Sprint's credit, it does differentiate itself a little with the ability to claim rewards any day of the week and by offering a "Sprint Marketplace" where you can get discounts and cash-back rewards from various brands/stores Sprint's partnered with.

"Without a doubt, you get the best value by being a Sprint customer with our better-than-ever network, money-saving Unlimited plans and this new rewards program".
