Since then, the 29-year-old has been documenting her treatment on Instagram.

The TV chef had a buzzed haircut, unlike earlier photos from her cancer treatment that showed her hairless.

"I know it's been ages since I posted and most may have figured out why".

Ali, who was chosen as the "Fan Favorite" in her season of the cooking competition, wrote when the cancer recurred that she hoped to spend the time she had left "making reservations at the world's best restaurants, reaching out to past lovers and friends, and smothering my family, giving them the time that I so selfishly guarded before". Right now all I need are prayers; prayers that are simple'. Now, all Ali is asking for are prayers and forgiveness.

Here she revealed she had no time left to lose, as she tried to make light of her illness.

While Ali requested prayers, she also asked forgiveness from people whom she may have hurt in the past, and thanked the people who have given her joy. "I'll try to keep everyone updated the best that I possibly can", Ali added.

The youngster was diagnosed shortly after wrapping up the filming of Top Chef, in late 2017.

Ali revealed in October a year ago that the rare form of bone and tissue cancer, called Ewings Sarcoma, she had been diagnosed with had returned.

She underwent aggressive rounds of chemotherapy, followed by surgery to remove the cancer in January of 2018.

Back in October, Fatima told her followers the devastating news in an article, which featured in Bon Appetit magazine.

A former Pakistani-American contestant on Top Chef Fatima Ali is now suffering from terminal cancer, which is making her "sicker".

"I was looking forward to being 30, flirty, and thriving". Ellen DeGeneres gifted Ali with $50,000 courtesy of Shutterfly to help her spend her a year ago living out her dream of visiting the world's best restaurants. A GoFundMe campaign was launched to help pay for travel and food costs, which has already raised over $96,000.
