Steve Buscemi’s wife Jo Andres, filmmaker and choreographer, dies age 65

Steve Buscemi is mourning the loss of his wife of more than 30 years.

The two Wednesday in 1987 and share one son, Lucian, E!

A source close to the family confirmed her death to Fox News.

Jo Andres, a prominent choreographer, artist and filmmaker, was married to the Emmy-winning star of "The Sopranos" and "Boardwalk Empire" for 31 years before her death earlier this week.

Andres rose to prominence during the 1980s with her artistic self-described "film/dance/light performances". The film served as a precursor to her own directorial debut, 1996's Black Kites, which starred their son Lucian, aired on PBS, and made the rounds at several film festivals, including Sundance, Berlin, Toronto, London and Human Rights Watch Film Festivals.

According to RadarOnline, Buscemi was 'was spotted lifting a wicker casket out of the house, ' before heading to a funeral service with a police escort.

It was also reported that firefighters from the New York Ladder Company the 61-year-old volunteered at during 9/11 attended the actor's house in Brooklyn earlier this week. When we got to my apartment, she saw the same poster and said, "That's you!"'

The couple was last seen together at a cinema event in New York City seven months ago.

Buscemi's Big Lebowski co-star, John Turturro, stopped by the home to offer support and Sopranos star, Aida Turturro, paid a visit.

When asked by The Independent for his favorite work of art in 2009, Buscemi said, "Probably something by my wife, Jo Andres".
