Lil Uzi Vert Announces He's Quitting Music: 'I Wanna Be Normal'

Uzi didn't share much more on the situation, but it seems that Eternal Atake isn't coming out anytime soon. During his "Lil Uzi Vert & Friends" concert in his hometown last month, Uzi announced that the album was finished and pending release.

Lil Uzi Vert who signed to Atlantic in 2014, has disclosed that he is quitting music for good via an Instagram story he shared on Friday evening. The rapper thanked his fans for their love and support over the years but said that he wanted to be normal again, wishing he could wake up in 2013.

"You are free", Uzi added in text at the bottom of his post. Following the release of Luv Is Rage 2, Uzi's been vocal about his issues with his record label.

Uzi also revealed he was "trying to figure out" how to get out of his record deal on the recent song "Shells" with Shabazz PBG.

The "XO Tour Llif3" rapper unexpectedly announced that he is "done with music".
