Ajax midfielder Frankie de Jong spoke about the various rumours around him and a move away, with Barcelona his main suitors.

Earlier this week the young Dutchman was heavily linked with a move to either Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain or Barca, having seen his form gain interest from the three major European clubs. The 21-year-old Van de Beek is a five-time Netherlands global and has played a total of 112 games for Ajax, netting 21 goals.

De Jong is hoping that his teammates also remain, "I do not know what will happen to other players, but I personally would certainly like it if the group stays together".

According to L'Equipe, Van de Beek would be interested in signing for the French giants, but Ajax are reluctant to let the midfielder leave for anything under €60m.

That has now been countered by De Jong, who said: "Definitely, I'm staying until the end of the season".

However, with the LaLiga champions undeterred by their demands, De Jong has now come out to clarify his future with de Joden, who are currently in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage for the first time in 13 years and chasing their first Eredivisie title in five seasons.

'We have had a fairly decent first half to the season.

'The atmosphere in the group is very good and we have a lot of quality - so I would be disappointed if people left'.
