"Together we would love to inspire and ignite positive changes to a transformative India", Karan wrote on Instagram alongside a squad selfie with Modi.

Director Karan Johar had organized the meeting of young, celebrated talent from the Hindi film industry with PM Narendra Modi.

The meeting comes weeks after PM Modi met Bollywood producers and discussed issues faced by the industry. The bunch included Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar, Rajkummar Rao, Vicky Kaushal, Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, and filmmakers Ekta Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ashwiny Iyer and Rohit Shetty.

Mr Johar later took to Instagram to share a group selfie with Mr Modi.

Meeting the Honorable Prime Minister @narendramoditoday was an incredible opportunity. He said the dialogue was about the ways in which the film industry can contribute to nation building. There is so much that we want to do. It was an honour! and we are grateful for your support towards the film industry!

Interesting thing is that Karan Johar who led the producers meeting also came to lead to the actor's meeting as well with PM Modi.

"Jaadoo ki Jhappi! Joy to meet the Honourable Prime Minister of our great nation", tweeted the 'Padmaavat' star. He was very receptive about our concerns which was honestly very cool. "Ps- I missed eye contact here cause I was taking facing #jaihind", wrote actor Varun Dhawan on his social media handle.

Ace director Rohit Shetty also shared, "Quite a cool feeling when The Prime Minister himself appreciates you for making films on the Police Force".

The excitement surrounding Bollywood's biggest wedding ensured actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were "couple" newsmakers, leading the list.Janhvi Kapoor (courtesy her debut movie "Dhadak"), Virat Kohli (For all his centuries & controversies) and Priyanka-Nick (for the epic Bollywood meets Hollywood wedding) joined the list at No. 2, 3 & 4, respectively. In Pic: (L-R Clockwise) Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, Virat Kohli, and Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas.
