Less than 48 hours after arriving in Green Bay, LaFleur has made a decision to move on from Packers special teams coordinator Ron Zook, first reported by ESPN and confirmed to The Athletic Wisconsin.

On Thursday, ESPN's Rob Demovsky reported that special teams coach Ron Zook and wide receivers coach David Raih won't be part of LaFleur's staff. "My philosophy is to lead, teach and inspire, not only our football team but everyone in this building".

It didn't take long for new Packers head coach Matt LaFleur to make his first executive decision.

"He was just very genuine and natural", Murphy said. "It felt more like a conversation rather than an interview".

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has also expressed that there were times over the past couple seasons the team has lacked "juice".

After previously working as an offensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams, and a quarterbacks coach for the Atlanta Falcons and Washington Redskins, LaFleur says he's excited to coach Rodgers given all he's achieved over his 14 years in the league. And I think that holds true for me as well. Rodgers, 35, is coming off another stellar season in which he passed for 4,442 yards, 25 touchdowns and only two interceptions. There's a lot of work to be done in front of us. So I think we're in alignment there because, like I said before, this game is about winning.
