Mornhinweg has been asked to stay on the staff in another capacity, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec. On Friday, the Ravens made a switch from Marty Mornhinweg to Greg Roman at offensive coordinator.

Mornhinweg hasn't been fired outright and could find a different role in Baltimore's offense.

Roman's promotion could be part of a possible restructuring of the offensive coaching staff under Harbaugh. Thomas Hammock, the team's running backs coach, is reportedly a candidate to become head coach at Northern Illinois University. The switch to Lamar Jackson at quarterback in Week 11 saw the offense flip the script and run the ball significantly more than they passed. He was widely credited with helping to rejuvenate the Ravens' running game a year ago with running back Alex Collins and this season after Jackson took over for Joe Flacco in Week 11. Much of the system that Baltimore ran with Jackson mirrored what Roman had done with Colin Kaepernick when he was the offensive coordinator in San Francisco, from the pistol formation to the read-option plays.

The Ravens finished the regular season No. 9 overall in yards per game and No. 2 in rushing offense.
