The latest viral challenge is responsible for a crash on a street in Layton, Utah, police said this week.

The driver then lost control and slid into the westbound lane, striking a white passenger auto and a light pole near 675 Layton Parkway, Lyman said.

The Layton Police Department reported no injuries were associated with the crash. The 17-year-old, her 16-year-old passenger and the occupants of the SUV were "luckily" not injured.

The movie Bird Box has become a social media sensation since its, with viewers sharing hilarious memes about being blindfolded to avoid certain situations. Netflix has issued a warning against this, tweeting, "Can't believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE".

The "Bird Box" Challenge involves people blindfolding themselves while doing everyday tasks.

When the movie first came out, Netflix gave a clear warning to viewers to not try the risky challenge.

Police are recommending reckless driving charges in the case but it will be up to the County Attorney's Office to determine what charges, if any, are filed.
