Ramsey, off contract in June, has agreed terms with Juve worth €7.5m per season over five years.

The Welshman is out of contract in six months and had been keen to stay at Arsenal, only for the Gunners to withdraw their offer to the 28-year-old.

Ramsey will only be second to Cristiano Ronaldo but ahead of conspicuous stars such as paolo Dybala and Douglas Costa in the wage scheme.

Ramsey's signing would be seen as a shrewd piece of business by Juventus, who are nine points clear at the top of the Serie A as they chase an eighth straight title.

The Fiver: sign up and get our daily football email. He is likely to replace one of Emre Can, Rodrigo Bentancur and Sami Khedira, with the latter possibly leaving the club in the summer.

The Wales worldwide is Arsenal's longest-serving playing, having moved to the Emirates from Cardiff City as a teenager back in 2008.

To date, he has scored 52 goals in his 252 Premier League appearances and has often been the driving force within the Arsenal midfield. He won three FA Cups with the club, scoring the winning goal in the 2014 and 2017 final.

It's a great transfer for Aaron Ramsey. Arsenal will regret seeing a player in the prime of his career leave under these circumstances.

As reported earlier, the Welsh midfielder has been in the Arsenal since 2008, and his current deal will expire in summer 2019.
