Something 'Fantastic' is heading to Marvel's Spider-Man

Something "fantastic" (as in Fantastic Four-related) is coming to Insomniac Games' Spider-Man game for the Sony PlayStation 4.

Even though comic books like the X-Men and Fantastic Four are responsible for some of Marvel's oldest and most revered characters they don't own the movie rights to them and so in recent years they've been deemphasised, or simply left out, of most new games.

Now, obviously, when it comes to Marvel and "Fantastic", we all gotta assume he's talking Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and The Thing (Ben Grimm), better known as The Fantastic Four. This is a suit that also has ties to the Fantastic Four. The most likely ones are the lovably slapdash Amazing Bag-Man suit, which is literally Spider-Man in a spare Fantastic Four uniform but with a bag over his head, and the slick Future Foundation suit. "It's going to be unbelievable and fantastic".

If we're throwing other Marvel franchises into the mix, let's get some X-Men and Avengers action going too - after all, Spider-Man has teamed up with or been a member of just about every Marvel team there is, so they'd all slot in very nicely. It also includes references to these same heroes throughout the game's version of New York City including the Avengers Tower and Doctor Strange's Sanctum Santorum.

So what do you think this "fantastic" content will turn out to be? Not only have fans enjoyed three alright DLC packages, but Insomniac has continued to add new suits and features into the game, most recently slipping Sam Raimi's original movie costume into the title.
