Kathy Griffin Shares Heartbreaking Update About Mom Maggie's Health

Maggie is 98 years old and became a fan-favorite while appearing on her daughter's Bravo reality series, My Life on the D-List, from 2005 to 2010.

"If you ever met my mom and asked for a photo, you should know it was a pleasure as much for her as it was for you", Kathy continued.

Along with the announcement, first reported by PEOPLE, Griffin revealed that her mother is now receiving "the best" 24-hour care and she is not in pain. "I'm still grappling with it", the comedian said.

Griffin opened up to her Twitter followers about how hard it's been to watch her mom lose herself.

The woman stated that it is especially "devastating" to see her mother like that since only a couple of years ago, she was as sharp and witty as ever but now she can not help but succumb to dementia.

She went on to explain that her time on reality show My Life on the D-list allowed her to show her fans and the world how amusing her parents were.

She added that she made a decision to share the update on her mother's health because she was so beloved by her fans, who first met Maggie during appearances on the reality series running from 2005-2010.

In the caption, she explained to her followers who were curious, that the reason why she hadn't posted a clip of Maggie and her dog was her disorder.

"When people tell me they feel like they know my mom, I always respond 'you do!' She never put on a show, she was the show", Griffin gushed before asking fans to share their own favorite Maggie moments.
