Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer announced a new mobile game, simply titled Stranger Things 3: The Game, last night at The Game Awards and dropped a short trailer to tease the game. Stranger Things is a Netflix production.

Stranger Things 3: The Game will release on PC, Switch, and Xbox One sometime next year. Will you be playing this game when it arrives on the Switch? But we'll find out soon enough, fans.

The first title based on the show, Stranger Things: The Game, was released on iOS back in 2017 favorable reviews.

As one of Netflix's most popular series, Stranger Things and its '80s vibes and creepy, supernatural tone are a ideal fit for games, with a new title in the works from the Duffer Brothers based on the upcoming third season.

As you can see below, users will be able to take control of a variety of characters, from Lucas to Hopper to what appears to be either Eleven, Joyce, or Steve (please god). It's just a matter of seeing what settles over the next few months.

Netflix is making the new title with the efforts of Bonus XP. And, at the same time, moderately simple, and in a way, nostalgic.

We'll have more details on the game when they become available, including the potential release date following the show.
