Tottenham's victory over Southampton means Arsenal are now in fifth place, although they are only behind Chelsea on goal difference.

Jose Mourinho said his Manchester United team should not be compared to past sides including Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Nemanja Vidic as the embattled manager called for patience following Wednesday's four-goal thriller against Arsenal.

It looked like that decision might backfire when Burnley took the lead in the 54th minute through Jack Cork.

But James Milner's excellent low equaliser was followed by Roberto Firmino's close-range effort, with his first touch three minutes after he had replaced Alberto Moreno, and Xherdan Shaqiri added Liverpool's third. And the coach knows it.

United twice came from behind to claim a 2-2 Premier League draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford thanks to goals from birthday boy Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard. "They are proving in England that they are very hard to beat".

Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota scored in a four-minute span around the hour mark to complete Wolves' fightback and condemn Chelsea to a second loss of the campaign.

Mourinho made a host of changes to his starting XI for the visit of Arsenal, with Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku among the substitutes at the Theatre of Dreams.

The German's absence has led to speculation about his relationship with Emery.

Amid an underperforming side this season, goalkeeper David de Gea has remained in nearly impeccable form, but the Spaniard spilled Shkodran Mustafi's header over the line to hand Arsenal the lead 26 minutes in.

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette isn't happy that his goal against Manchester United has been chalked off and awarded as a Marcos Rojo own goal.

Lacazette robbed Rojo and played the ball to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who returned the favour to put the striker clean through on goal. A front two of Martial and Rashford with Lingard behind caused problems last night and Mata and Sanchez could also play in the system.

The other two matches finished in 1-1 draws between Fulham and Leicester, and Everton and Newcastle.
