HBO released the new tease at the São Paulo Expo in Brazil for the Comic Con Experience.

ET recently spoke with David Nutter, director of "Thrones'" season eight premiere, who teased that the final season will absolutely "live up to the hype".

The frost, which likely represents the looming threat of Winter and the approaching White Walkers, continues until it reaches a dragon of House Targaryen. Meanwhile, a Lannister lion - backed by fire - spreads its flames northward, until the opposing forces meet in a violent clash.

Then the elements collide in the center explosively.

The trailer doesn't give too much away but fans think it's hinting at the war to come in the next series.

Old trailers compiled footage from previous seasons, but this one is fairly straightforward; it shows a chill creeping into Westeros, freezing everything in sight (including a dragon), while fire fights it from the South.

The executive producers of Game of Thrones Season 8 are David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernadette Caulfield; co-executive producers are Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis, George R.R. Martin and Bryan Cogman; and producers are Chris Newman, Greg Spence and Lisa McAtackney.

'In the third part of the last season, there is a battle that the creators intend to be the biggest in television history.

"It was the first time that I was able to actually direct the premiere episode of the season, so I'm just nervous".
