Marouane Fellaini again hit the headlines on Wednesday evening after pulling the hair of Arsenal's Matteo Guendouzi, and it did not go unnoticed by one of the Manchester United star's old adversaries.

With the scores level and both teams chasing the game, United sent Marouane Fellaini on for the final 20 minutes in the hope that the midfielder's famed physical presence would make an impact.

Fellaini, who recently shocked the football world by having his trademark afro cut, was spotted yanking Guendouzi back via the French youngster's own curly locks in the closing stages of the 2-2 draw between the Premier League giants at Old Trafford.

The German was banned for three games over the off-the-ball incident, while Fellaini was also suspended for elbowing Huth in retaliation.

'I think there is a bit of jealousy there, ' Guendouzi told RMC Sports in the mixed zone after the game.

The Belgian was called back for a foul but amazingly managed to avoid a booking from referee Andre Marriner.

Ian Wright was slapped with a three-match ban back in 1996 when he took a chunk out of Sheffield Wednesday winger Regi Blinker's dreadlocks, and the second incident had Fellaini himself on the receiving end when Robert Huth pulled his hair in 2016.

However, the Belgian is likely to escape any further punishment with the FA deeming a foul the appropriate action.
