Posing for a holiday snap alongside military personnel who are spending their Christmas in Cyprus, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stood in for a Christmas photo at which point William basically pointed out that Kate was dressed like the backdrop.

William also spoke with a group of pilots and was overheard saying, "I told George this morning we were going to see the pilots today, and he said, 'If you see a helicopter, can you take a picture?'" The always-prim-and-proper duchess wore just that, though, to the first palace Christmas party of the year at Kensington Palace, and we're adding this to our winter outfit research list.

"We know this isn't easy for you or for your wives, husbands, children, and friends back in the UK".

"But on behalf of everyone back home, we would like to say thank you", William said.

The duchess dazzled once again in a pale blue embellished gown as she joined William for the annual white tie affair, looking sensational in the etherial dress by British designer Jenny Packham which featured a draped neckline and sheer cap sleeves.

Prince George had some adorably proud words for his dad Prince William before his trip to Cyprus on Tuesday!

Families from RAF Marham and RAF Coningsby were invited to the palace for party games and Christmas activities. But I can't imagine how it feel when your loved ones are away on active service during Christmas. "Whereas for the families at home, there's that empty chair around the table at Christmas Day where we're normally sat".

"But I'm very, very grateful that the Royal Household put that together for our families, because it's more hard for the people at home".

They seemed to love it and looked so shocked! According to HOLA! USA's sister brand HELLO!'s royal reporter Emily Nash, "Kate told one well-wisher how Prince Louis is learning to wave" - big sister Princess Charlotte, three, is already a pro!

It's understood that both the Sussexes and the Cambridges will be at Sandringham for the traditional royal family Christmas festivities.
