Kamala Harris Will Decide on 2020 Run by End of the Year

MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski revealed Monday that Sen.

The 2020 campaign is already heating up, and California Senator Kamala Harris could be one of the first serious candidates for President to throw her hat in the ring.


Harris, 54, said that her decision to whether run for the president post will be a family decision. "When you break things, it is painful and you get cut". With the GOP victory in the 2018 senate elections, a Democrat on the committee may lose their seat to a Republican.

Sen. Kamala Harris has made a name for herself in the Senate with her tough questions against figures like former Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Harris is the most junior Democratic member on the committee and therefore most likely to lose her seat.

Harris acknowledged the challenges that she would face while running in such a heated election and how cutthroat the presidential race may be. Sherrod Brown of OH and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota both announced they are considering a presidential run and Democratic Sen. Bernie Sanders, Texas Rep. Beto O'Rourke and Massachusetts Sen.
