The beauty entrepreneur is collaborating with Blac Chyna to launch a new Whitenicious skin lightening cream.

But Blac Chyna's fans quickly took to Twitter to call out the star for promoting European beauty standards to her predominantly black audience - and took particular issue with the fact that the star plans to plug the product in Lagos next weekend. As Buzzfeed notes, long-term use of skin-bleaching creams have been linked to a variety of health risks including cancer, kidney damage, blindness, and depression.

Some skin lightening products are banned in the UK. "Bleaching creams are not cool".

After looking over some of Chyna's social media snapshots, her skin has been looking a lot lighter lately. "I'm beyond disgusted at this point", tweeted @stephaniealexx1.

But that hasn't stopped a backlash against Blac Chyna, who rose to fame stripping and modelling, before launching a make-up brand and having a child with Rob Kardashian.

"Lagos Nigeria, join me at the first official launch of my face cream this Sunday November 25th at the Whitenicious store from 1-5PM".

The Instagram star, 30, has partnered with Whitenicious by Dencia on a $250 skin brightening lotion housed in a Swarovski crystal-encrusted jar.

Blac Chyna is being criticised for selling a skin-lightening cream in Nigeria.

Blac Chyna disabled comments on her Instagram post but that hasn't stopped people writing on her other pictures.
