Back when the Google Home Hub was not yet a thing, three manufacturers unveiled (vague) "smart display" release plans.

"Our partnerships with Google and Meridian Audio allow us to offer a new home entertainment experience with the smart capabilities of the Google Assistant and the premium audio know-how that only Meridian could deliver", said LG's Seo Young-jae.

Pricing and availability are yet to be revealed but the LG XBoom AI ThinQ WK9 will be available in the U.S. first.

In fact, to hear LG explain it, sound quality seems to be the main focus of the WK9.

LG's impossibly named Smart Display is finally available for $200

What should you know about the XBOOM AI ThinQ WK9?

The WK9 is similar to the Google Home Hub or the Lenovo Smart Display, wherein it is a large touchscreen that sits around your house with Google Assistant on it. That would be a great discount if we could actually buy it - even though LG says that it's coming to the United States first and other regions around the world after, it doesn't seem to be available just yet. The LG XBOOM AI ThinQ WK9 is already listed in LG's website and in B&H Photo Video.
