Sixers' Markelle Fultz to see specialist about shoulder, will miss time

According to The Athletic's David Aldridge, the decision was advised by Fultz's attorney, Raymond Brothers.

Fultz was the No. 1 overall pick out of Washington in 2017, but he started play with an awkward, ineffective shot that he and the team blamed on a shoulder injury.

The concern over Markelle Fultz's health which was originally brought to light by his offseason coach Drew Hanlen was brushed aside. "So coming in, I feel perfectly fine".

The unusual case of Philadelphia 76ers point guard Markelle Fultz's lost shot has taken another turn.

This year, the quick, 6-foot-4 guard has been on the court but largely ineffective, his shot still off in averaging 8.2 points in 19 minutes per game.

Fultz is shooting.568 from the line this season and has not finished above.500 in his last seven contests.

Fultz was benched Monday night in favor of T.J.

"I don't know", Brown said after the Sixers' 119-114 win.

When asked what would inform his decision, Brown said, "Just when I think it through deeper and look at tape and see who we're playing, the next opponent, all those things I should do". Former Most Valuable Player Allen Iverson was at the game and it seems like he was giving advice to Fultz.

After the Sixers' third straight victory on Monday night, Fultz reiterated that the main goal is to win games, whether it's him or McConnell out there on the floor.

"You definitely want to go out there and compete". My mindset is just, when I step on the court, go out there and play. "I want to be out there, but I'm going to root for my teammates".
