They were competing against contestants Alexis Ren, Evanna Lynch, and Milo Manheim, but came out victorious and no one was more surprised than them.

Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter franchise, made it through to the final of the competition with her professional partner, Keo Motsepe.

"You guys did this", Bones told fans after receiving the Mirror Ball trophy.

They received a 30 out of 30 for the dance.

Fellow Potter alumnae Tom Felton, Bonnie Wright, Katie Leung and Matthew Lewis also sent messages of support to their former co-star.

Dancing with the Stars will return in 2019.

Evanna Lynch first appeared as Luna Lovegood in the 2007 film Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

In last night's final of the competition, the 27-year-old from Termonfeckin in Louth lost out to USA radio personality Bobby Bones.

The four finalists including Lynch, model Alexis Ren, former Disney star Milo Manheim and radio personality Bobby Bones - who was eventually crowned victor - were tasked with performing two dances: first, their most memorable from the season and then a freestyle performance in last night's finale.
