According to multiple media outlets, the "Skyscraper" hitmaker took to the comments section on an Instagram post this week to speak out against a fan who recently dissed her team after the Disney Channel alum suffered a drug overdose earlier this summer.

Taking to Twitter, a fan account posted a comment that supported Dani, and accused the singer of hanging out with people who only care for her money instead of her well being.

The 26-year-old was spotted out in Los Angeles on Friday without a care in the world as she smiled with some girlfriends. "True Friends don't do interviews about you after you OD".

Her raven locks were swept back in a messy bun.

Both Lovato and the fan were referring to Danielle Martin, who worked as the singer's personal trainer and fitness coach for three years.

"I lost my job for speaking up for her, to be honest", Martin told Radar Online. "Pretty sad. I did nothing but empower her. Nothing bad to say", Martin said.

She wrote: 'I care about Demi just like all of you do. They told her I was taking the situation and making it all about me. It was assumed that Lovato was slamming Dani, but she later added: "I'm not talking about Dani Vitale". I'd never do that.

"You have no idea what you're talking about", she commented on the post. Not ever. I was standing up for her.

Demi has been exclusively focused on her sobriety after being hospitalized in July after overdosing in her Los Angeles home.

The source added that the singer's effort to maintain her sobriety has forced her to totally rethink her daily habits.

Back in August, nearly one month after Lovato's overdose, Vitale denied rumours that she provided Demi with drugs.
