"And the plays made themselves because we were just going out there not thinking, just translating the work from practice on gameday".

Allen Robinson #12 of the Chicago Bears carries the football against Glover Quin #27 of the Detroit Lions in the first quarter at Soldier Field on November 11, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois.

Playing without injured cornerback Darius Slay, the Lions were picked apart by Mitchell Trubisky in a 34-22 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

"We're fighting, nobody can say we're not fighting until the very end", said running back Kerryon Johnson, who scored from the 1 near the end of the first half. They have 12 players with at least one sack, led by linebacker Khalil Mack (five) and defensive end Akiem Hicks (three).

"No time to feel sorry for ourselves", Patricia said. "We had a communication thing on another one", Patricia said. "But look, in the end, I just got to do a better job coaching it up and getting them in the right positions and we got to go out and execute".

Detroit's lone game wrecker on defense, "Ziggy" Ansah returned last week for the first time since the opener and notched a sack of Kirk Cousins, so Charles Leno will have to be much better than he was last week. Shead was unable to bring down Robinson on a slant, and he ran all the way down to the Detroit 3 for a 35-yard play.

"You have to remember, the guy missed all of training camp, got no preseason reps, so he's a guy that should steadily improve week to week - and he has been", Fangio said. Tarik Cohen carried the ball in for the Bears (6-3) on the next play.

It got so bad that the crowd roared when the Bears went for a 2-point conversion after a touchdown later in the third. "So I mean I've just got to trust in what I'm doing".

Parkey connected on 21 of 23 field-goal attempts and 26 of 29 extra points last season with Miami, prompting Chicago to give him a four-year deal in free agency worth a little more than $15 million. He caught up, but couldn't find the ball as Robinson adjusted to make the catch in the end zone. He hit the left upright on an extra point in the second quarter. On consecutive Chicago drives in the third quarter, Parkey rattled the right upright on a 41-yard field goal and again on a 34-yard attempt. We just have to come out, and get better at the beginning. Parkey said. "This is my job, this is what I'm supposed to do and I'm missing out there. Just being on the same page and just jelling together and executing".

Everson Griffen (97) and Danielle Hunter (99) of the Minnesota Vikings celebrate Hunter's sack of Matthew Stafford (9) of the Detroit Lions in the Vikings victory at U.S. Bank Stadium last week.

Trubisky had a 158.3 rating at halftime after going 14 of 16 for 209 yards and two touchdowns with the Bears predominantly in a no-huddle offense. But Trubisky finished with a career-high 355 yards through the air, and Robinson and Miller each went over 100 yards receiving.

Trubisky got the Bears back in the endzone later in the third, hitting Trey Burton with a 24-yard completion to start the drive then finiding Robinson for a 26-yard score on the next.
