Morrissey's recent concert in San Diego came to a halt over the weekend as a fan rushed the stage in a desperate attempt to touch the singer in some way.

And it does appear, as you can kind of see in the video itself, that at least one of the men who rushed the stage was able to punch Morrissey in the face. WTF?!?!

Regardless, what a disgusting event!

According to TMZ, the singer was swept off the stage in the middle of his encore at the San Diego Symphony Hall on Saturday. Morrissey reportedly did not return to finish the performance.

Morrissey's manager has since released a statement on Morrissey's Facebook, writing "Nobody tried to punch M last night". Morrissey's fans are not malicious.

After video footage of the commonplace onstage event surfaced online, however, various sites such as TMZ published stories with headlines stating "Morrissey Attacked On Stage" - coverage that Moz's team is now criticizing through the singer's social media. Furthermore, Peter said that the one fan was more aggressive than others, so security had to do what they normally do. "In the end, no one was hurt, and no one was arrested". People in the crowd waited a while but when it became apparent the show was over for good. they left. Morrissey is now on an American tour and has made several stops in California.
