The Indian cricket team management on Friday announced that seamers Umesh Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah, and chinaman Kuldeep Yadav, have been rested from the 3rd T20I against West Indies, set to take place on Sunday, in Chennai.

Medium-pacer Siddarth Kaul, meanwhile, was recalled into the squad led by Rohit Sharma. The BCCI press release said that the selectors took the decision to rest these players in order to allow them to be in best physical condition ahead of Australia tour.

India have already sealed the series, having won the first two T20Is, after having won the Tests 2-0 and the ODIs 3-1.

Yuzvendra Chahal, who has not yet played a T20I match against the Windies, might find a place in the playing XI now with Kuldeep, the other wrist spinner, rested. He has had rich returns against West Indies, taking nine wickets in the ODIs at an average of 19.88 and an economy rate of 5.37. Men in Blue won the first T20 in Kolkata by five wickets, while Rohit Sharma's masterclass proved too much for the men from the Caribbean as India once again cruised home by 71 runs in Lucknow.

Kaul has been part of various Indian limited-overs squads, though his global appearances have been limited to three ODIs and two T20Is.

With Bhuvneshwar Kumar's form being a bit of a worry for India, Bumrah, along with Khaleel Ahmed, has played the role of the major returners with the ball. The likes of Shahbaz Nadeem and Washington Sundar, who have been with the squad since the first T20I can harbour hopes of getting some game time.
