Ariana Grande cries, trips during performance on ‘Ellen’

Ariana Grande has shared an emotional message about dealing with a series of hardships following the Manchester Arena attack past year, her failed engagement with ex Pete Davidson, and the death of her former boyfriend Mac Miller.

The tune is not an easy one for Grande to sing, which became apparent during her appearance on Ellen. But while she was singing the bop on stage, she actually lost her balance and nearly fell during the performance, before recovering like a total pro.

Ariana Grande has been dealing with a lot lately from the passing of her ex (Mac Miller) to her breakup with fiance, Pete Davidson. "Only wanna do it once, real bad / Gon" make that shit last / God forbid something happens / Least this song is a smash". Billboard vice president of content Ross Scarano said in a statement, "Ariana Grande is a star on her own terms, never bending to any particular musical trend or path in the industry". She recovered like a champ, though, laughing off the moment while continuing to sing, like it was no big deal.

"Thank you for being here". Thank you for being here.... you've had a rough year.

What we love most about this video is that Ariana could have totally redone the whole thing, but chose not to. While many initially assumed the outfits were a nod to Grande's would-have-been nuptials with ex-fiancé Pete Davidson, the look was actually a reference to a scene in the 1996 film, First Wives Club.

"His voice and laugh", Grande wrote in response.

Watch the entire performance above, then maybe go see if The First Wives Club is on Hulu or something?
