On this Monday night, the Cowboys didn't defend their star in a 28-14 loss - except for Byron Jones shoving Kevin Byard when the Tennessee Titans safety did his best imitation of Terrell Owens' infamous taunting on the midfield logo 18 years ago. "We started off fast, had some turnovers and we were excited and we kinda let that get".

Dallas registered a touchdown on its second possession and had a chance to go up by two scores in the first quarter after it recovered a fumble by Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota just outside the red zone.

The week nine slate concludes with the Dallas Cowboys (3-4) facing off against the Tennessee Titans (3-4).

He could be looking at arthroscopic surgery, per coach Jason Garrett, possibly sidelining him for a week or two if not longer. It was momentum shifter for the Cowboys for sure. Coming into the game ranked #1 in total defense, that wasn't seen coming due to the Titans being alongside Dallas in the bottom 5 in the league on offense. Dak Prescott has tossed a pair of touchdowns for Dallas, including one to newly-acquired Amari Cooper. "Unfortunately, he didn't make those decisions".

"I don't know how to articulate my patience or lack thereof, and I'm not trying to be smart", Jones said. The coaching staff has to understand the strengths of each player on the team and learn how to play off of it.

With this, last night's MNF showing is up 5% in ratings, ahead of a New England Patriots' 25-6 victory over the Buffalo Bills last week on the big stage. Using Beasley effectively in the slot also adds another dimension to the Dallas offense.

Along with Cooper's debut, this was the first game for the Cowboys since offensive line coach Paul Alexander was sacked less than halfway into his first season with the team. "It starts with me first all the way".

Cowboys: At Philadelphia next Sunday in the first meeting with the NFC East rival. Prescott has received a lot of harsh criticism this season, but team owner Jerry Jones once again threw support at his quarterback after the game.

Prescott is under contract through 2019, but the Cowboys can begin negotiations on an extension after this season if they choose.
