Jose Mourinho has revealed his gesture to Juventus fans after Manchester United's 2-1 win in Turin was payback for "90 minutes" of insults. They have only had three all season and it is noticeable how many chances they leak.

"On a handsome Italian day, I made a little thing".

Mourinho is unpopular among Juventus fans after managing bitter rival Inter Milan for three years.

Having reached two of the last four finals, Juventus looked like genuine challengers for their first Champions League in over two decades when Ronaldo lashed home his 65th-minute volley.

And that has revived memories of the winning goals scored in "Fergie Time" by Manchester United's trophy-winning teams under Alex Ferguson.

Juan Mata's 86th-minute free kick and an Alex Sandro own goal in the final minute gave Jose Mourinho's team a crucial win against the Italian champions, which could see United qualify for the Champions League knockout stages with a home victory against Young Boys later this month.

Paul Pogba says his celebrations after Manchester United's late victor against his former club Juventus felt "strange" while paying tribute to the Red Devils' staying power. "But the others [Juventus fans] didn't forget".

I watched the game with all my Juventus teammates and we were talking about whether he should have celebrated scoring against his former club.

PSG are third in Group C after their battling 1-1 draw with Napoli in the Stadio San Paolo cauldron, and while they are only one point behind leaders Liverpool, Tuchel's side have only managed to beat Red Star Belgrade in four matches.

I thought Juve were very unfortunate to lose after looking great in possession and risky around the box, but as soon as Juan Mata stepped up to take that free-kick I had a feeling it was going in.

The defender, who has a playful rivalry with Lingard, took to Twitter to share an video of the nutmeg, writing: "It really just never gets old does it? It's OK to lose against United, but seeing how the match went it leaves us with a bit of a bitter taste".

"So ask the FA, they will translate for you", beamed Mourinho.

"No, I leave the pitch immediately to avoid reacting, " he said.

"With a cool head I wouldn't have done it, but with my family insulted, including my Inter family, I reacted like this".

Ronaldo had given Juventus a 65th minute lead with a typically stunning strike before the visitors hit back twice in the last five minutes.

Bonucci floated a ball over the top of the defense and Ronaldo watched it over his shoulder before volleying into the top right corner.

Allegri raised his eyebrows and gave a smile of appreciation at the goal.
