Mass Effect Andromeda could have been one of the best RPGs ever, but sadly the game never realizes its full potential. N7 Day, as it's known, has become the official day of Mass Effect, thanks to the prominence the "N7" label has in the Mess Effect universe.

Today a new patch has been released for Xbox One X owners of Mass Effect: Andromeda that includes some enhancements for the game, though no real information is given other than its existence.

Arriving in time for today's N7 Day celebrations, Mass Effect: Andromeda has received an update adding high-resolution support for Xbox One X, adding it to the growing list of enhanced titles for Microsoft's 4K console.

Towards the end, Casey Hudson teases the future of the franchise and lifts up a mug that has Commander Shepard's catchphrase "I should go" on it.

"It means coming into the studio everyday, dreaming about what the next great "Mass Effect" game will be", Hudson said. What does it mean???

Mass Effect: Andromeda launched back in March 2017, and proved somewhat divisive among fans. BioWare has been putting its efforts into Anthem, its open-world sci-fi multiplayer game, which is set to release in February.

But BioWare shouldn't wait long for the next installment given all the possibilities the Mass Effect universe contains. So that meaningful look seems like a playful reminder to fans on N7 Day that BioWare hasn't forgotten about them.

Unsurprisingly, Mass Effect Andromeda also just got discounted on Xbox One. In the meantime, fans might just have to watch BioWare communications for secret messages.
